Job Description

• Assists the Executive chef with inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning, and issuing supplies and equipment for food production.
• Assumes oversight of food production and kitchen personnel in the absence of the Executive chef.
• Assists Executive chef with supervision of employees, sanitation and safety, menu planning, and related production activities.
• Ensures proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality; controls food and payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability.
• Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the kitchen, its equipment, and other areas as appropriate.
• Prepares reports, costs menus, makes schedules, and performs administrative duties as assigned.
• Attends to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies; detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions.
• Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, presentation, and flavours of foods.
• Must possess a Culinary diploma, knowledge of HACCP, and 10 yrs industry experience
• Must be able to work in a high pressure environment and demonstrate calm and effective leadership

Salary based on experience: $2000-$3000 monthly, plus service charge
