Full-Time Pastry Chef

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Group Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day preparation of quality pastry items such as breakfast items, desserts, breads, displays and special request items. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely
• Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tool, equipment and supplies
• Establish priority items for the day
• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to departmental standards.
• Understand sanity food handling techniques
• Direct hands on preparation
• Daily recording and monitoring of kitchen inventory
• Any other assigned duties
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within field.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Salary for this position begins at $8.50 per hour and will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
