Job Description

The attendant is accountable for efficient laundering of linen and clothing, ensuring highest
quality of cleanliness and finished product.
Duties:
 Receives dirty linen, sorts by degree of soil, colour and type
 Separates, counts and records stained and damaged linen
 Weighs and prepares linen for washing
 Loads washers and dryers according to stipulated capacity and settings
 Required to iron and fold
 Performs hand-washing and hand-ironing duties as required
 Keeps work area clean, organized and tidy
 Performs any other duties assigned
Requirements:
High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma
Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying heavy objects
Walking and standing for long hours
Ability to handle exposure to heat
Ability to bend, squat, sit, climb, reach and kneel
Required to work outside of normal working hours, on weekends and public holidays
Required to work various shifts
