Full-Time Front Office Manager

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, Hotel Manager. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Follow resort policies, procedures and service standards
• Managing operation of Reservations, Front Desk, Bell Desk, Guest Service, Telephone as part of Front Office Department.
• Develops and implements new procedures and standards for entire front office department.
• Supervision of weekly payroll input
• Respond promptly to guest requests for a supervisor of manager
• Ensure that a detailed hand over is carried out between shifts including the volume of business, special guests, tasks to be clarified/completed and any special events that are taking place
• Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area, and know what is happening in the hotel
• Ensure our customers receive a fast, efficient and friendly check in and check out
• Five years work experience as a Front desk manager or Reception manager
• Can work well under pressure in a fast-paced operation
• Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures
• Can work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Must be well versed in all areas of PMS and POS hotel systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Opera, HotSoS, Micros, Delphi
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Degree in hotel management is a plus
• Basic First Aid
Salary for this position begins at $38,000.00 per annum and will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
